Begerlite B-1999 moisture-resistant primer provides superior protection against alkalinity from new cement.
Primer for new cement, easy to apply, covers a large area, and removes stains that would damage the top coat. Excellent performance.
feature :
New cement primer (oil-based)
Premium grade
Application area 35-40 sq m/gallon/coat
feature :
Easy to get a lot of space
Good grip on the floor, does not peel off
Effectively prevents and inhibits the growth of fungi and algae.
Protects against salt stains
How to use: Painting system
Step 1: Surface preparation
New cement surface: Make sure the surface is dry, clean, and free from dust and dirt.
Cracked surface: Remove brick and stone fragments around the crack, widen the crack to an appropriate size, then fill the crack with crack filler, let it dry, sand it smooth and clean it.
Surfaces with existing paint: Remove any peeling paint with a scraper or wire brush. If you are unsure of the condition of the original paint, peel it off with a tool or Beger paint stripper. Then, clean thoroughly with a high-pressure water jet and allow to dry completely before painting.
Moldy surfaces: Remove algae and fungus with a scraper or wire brush, followed by a high-pressure water sprayer. Then, clean the surface with Beger Mold Free M-001 mold remover.
Step 2: Applying the primer
In the case of new cement surfaces or old cement surfaces with normal humidity (humidity less than approximately 20%), apply one coat of Beger Light Primer B-1999 to increase the adhesion ability of the surface and the effectiveness in protecting against stains from salt deposits.
In the case of new cement surfaces or old cement surfaces with higher than normal humidity (humidity is in the range of approximately 20-35%) or surfaces with continuous accumulation of humidity, it is recommended to apply one coat of Beger Light Waterproof Primer No. 1012 before applying the top coat.
Step 3: Applying the top coat
After applying the primer, let it dry for at least 24 hours. Apply two coats of Beger Lite 365. Each coat should be left to dry for at least 24 hours.
First coat: Beger Lite 365 should be diluted with Beger Lite 365 Thinner M-91 approximately 10% for better penetration and adhesion and to make the color last longer.
Second coat: Apply Begerlite 365 without dilution.
